There are basically two different soapstone color palettes. In its natural form, soapstone has a greyish appearance. When treated with our recommended Mineral Oil or Wax it turns a dark charcoal grey/black and may have a greenish hue. It may have flecks of other colors running through it and veining interspersed. As soapstone quarries are discovered, there will always be some variation in its appearance.
